Mikleo is a seraph. The Tales of Wikipedia has a good, brief explanation of what that means:

"The seraphim (天族 Tenzoku?, "Heavenly Tribe") are a spiritual race in the world of Tales of Zestiria.
Seraphim are invisible to all humans except those with high resonance. Because of this, several people consider them either extinct or legendary."

Because of this, the Zestiria cast has decided to limit who can interact with seraphim, and how they can interact with them.

The requirements to interact with Mikleo are:

If a human character is aligned in Sosyne they can see, hear, and interact with him.

If your character has spiritual resonance or a canon ability to interact with the supernatural, they can see, hear, and interact with him.

If your character is not human, they can see, hear, and interact with him.

Anyone can interact with Mikleo via telepathy.

Just dropping a line to say my guy Trey from FF Type 0 is totally human, but is aligned with Sosyne, so Mikleo will have another calm, cool, and collected person to speak with.

Sheena, on the other hand, is aligned with Elios, but she's got elven blood. And is no way calm, cool, and collected...

Poor Meebo. :)

So Ritsuka's an... odd case that I'm not sure how it'd fit in to those categories. Basically, she is a normal human who doesn't know any magecraft (and it's entirely possible/likely that she lacks the proper innate magic circuits to learn it without external aid) BUT she spends her time hanging around/getting involved with/fighting all manner of supernatural stuff. And canon has generally by this point explained away everything about how she contracts with the Servants and such as being thanks to Chaldea's systems and equipment and such she uses.

But on the other hand, she's had plenty of exposure to all kinds of supernatural shenanigans, the command spells she was granted through Chaldea are plenty magical in their own right, and she's apparently one of the minority of humans (mages or otherwise) compatible with Chaldea's funky magitech rayshift time travel system (which works by converting a person or object into "spiritron particles" and sending that to the target coordinates in time and space; basically think a sort of magitech version of Star Trek's transporter).

SO UH. I'm good with playing it either way, but honestly have no idea which would be more appropriate!
